Principal Designer
Mitigating design risk for every project
Since the inception of the CDM regulations in 2015, Principal Designer services have been integral to every aspect of our project work.
As the Principal Designer on over two hundred projects, we bring extensive experience in successfully delivering projects diverse in scale, complexity, and value.
Led by a seasoned Architect qualified to deal in pre-construction health and safety management through Incorporated membership of the Association for Project Safety (APS), our team ensures that risk mitigation and management are central to every design decision when fulfilling the role of Principal Designer.
Building Regulations Principal Designer (BR-PD)
The Building Safety Act 2022 became law on 1 October 2023 within England, representing a considerable change to the responsibilities of clients and design teams to ensure building compliance.
Since then, we’ve been helping our clients understand their responsibilities, particularly in relation to the new role of Building Regulations Principal Designer (BR-PD).
With clients now required to appoint a qualified person to carry out this role for almost all projects irrespective of size, we can help. Covering the full range of Principal Designer services, we can advise and provide the right support that’s relevant to your project and needs.
BIM for CDM
Our inhouse BIM team have developed a specific set of tools to ensure that CDM outputs are coordinated and consistent. The toolkit enables designers to easily and effectively manage their health and safety information whilst meeting the demands of the CDM 2015 Regulations and PAS1192 Part 6.
Creating buildings that are safe to work in, live in and maintain is a basic of design. We go further by providing working and living environments that uplift the health and wellbeing of those that use them.
