We have enjoyed a successful working relationship with Schuh for twenty-five years, having delivered over one hundred and fifty fit-out projects across their portfolio of Schuh and Schuh Kids stores. Schuh is a highly successful independent fashion footwear retailer with branches through the UK, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland.

Schuh places significant importance on providing high quality contemporary retail environments for their customers, enabled with the latest technology. Attention to detail is critical to their success, inviting a design which embraces high quality materials and finishes throughout.

Our role encompasses all stages of store development from initial survey and feasibility study through to sales floor configuration, detailed design and construction on site, through to handover. Principal Designer services complement the broader architectural design services. 

Our retail fit-out and interiors specialists ensure that every design is built around the customer experience, carefully considering every aspect of the customer journey from approach to exit. Bringing a proven and structured approach to each unit ensures fast and efficient turnaround while being flexible to the nuances of individual stores. The retail market provides a unique set of challenges to design teams, balancing commercial requirements with design and technical excellence. 

As the first expansion of Schuh’s core brand, we are proud to have extended our relationship to design for Schuh Kids in their own standalone stores, with the same quality of design language and delivery. The Schuh Kids Trafford Centre store was the proud winner of the Drapers ‘best footwear store design’ award in 2023.

Additional projects for the brand have included the redesign and fit-out of the company headquarters and the design and fit-out of a new 240,000 square feet European distribution centre. We are proud to be a partner of choice.
