The Lost Shore Hub Buildings have been recognised in the 2025 Scottish Property Awards as our team scooped the award for Architectural Excellence (public use).

As Scotland’s first and Europe’s largest inland surf destination, this truly innovative project has been a huge labour of love for everyone involved.

The project brief set out to create a building solution which delivers ‘an amazing experience’ and enhances the ‘spectacle of the water experience.’  Three hub buildings, each with its own distinct character and energy, house the diverse activities taking place across the resort including events, hospitality, retail, administration, wellbeing, village-style changing facilities and a university performance assessment space.

The three buildings which are orientated around a shared plaza facing the central cove benefit from an abundance of natural light, bringing the outside into each activity area. Floor-to-ceiling glazing offer’s visitors a strong visual link to the main event, heightening their anticipation of the experience ahead.

The design was approached with a careful balance of efficiency, budget and context, with the user experience being front of mind. The design has enabled a truly positive and memorable visit for staff and visitors alike.
